    2018 Executive Board Elections

    We value your opinion!  If you would like to participate in structuring MPWFA's 2018 season now is your chance!
     
    The following is a list of Executive Board positions up for election for the 2018 season.
    Vice President
    Secretary
    Cheer Commissioner
    Field & Equipment Manager
    Publicist - Mid-term election to fill a vacancy
     
    Nomination Forms will be available at a table outside the concession stand beginning on Monday, October 16, during practice times.

    All nominations will be verified with the nominee to confirm that they can, and want to, fulfill the duties of the corresponding position. If MPWFA is unable to verify a nomination it will be voided. We will be accepting nominations until Friday 10/20/17. Voting will start Monday 10/23/17.

    Each family is given two votes per player/cheerleader currently registered for the 2017 season. No one person may submit two votes per player/cheerleader (exception for single parent registrants).

    Ballots will be tallied by members of the MPWFA board that are not currently running for an office.

    A detailed description of each Executive board members duties throughout the year is listed below and will be posted at the concession stand during nominations and elections. 

    The following is a list of Executive Board positions up for election for the 2018 season and a description of their duties. All Executive board members are required to attend and participate in: 

    · Monthly/weekly executive board meetings 
    · Both Field Clean-Up days during the season 
    · MPWFA Player/Cheerleader Registration 
    · MPWFA Conditioning Week 
    · MPWFA Player Evaluation Week 
    · NTYFA events hosted by MPWFA or additional events required by the MPWFA Executive  Board
     
     Vice President – 2 Year Term
    1. Preside over all meetings in the absence of the President.
    2. Perform all duties assigned by the President.
    3. Coordinate with the Commissioners of the association in all decisions  and problems.
    4. Assume the duties of any Director who is unable to perform his/her duties until the vacancy  is filled.
    5. Perform such duties as the Board of Directors may prescribe.
    6. Vote in all Executive Board decisions.
    7. Work as assigned by the President a minimum of 2 hours each Saturday during home games.

    Secretary – 2 Year Term

    • Take and preserve the minutes of all meetings and record all votes.  Provide a written copy of those minutes within two weeks.
    • Handle all correspondence assigned by the President.
    • Sign all contracts and agreements entered into by the league.
    • Coordinate all Football/Cheer Forms and Football/Cheer Applications maintaining an accurate spreadsheet of necessary information.
    • Prepare Registration Forms for NTYFA Draft.
    • Act as liaison between city officials/employees and MPWFA.
    • Has authority to countersign checks.
    • Has authority to pick up mail from the PO Box.
    • Performs such duties as the Board of Directors may prescribe.
    • Vote in all Executive Board decisions as  a unified vote with the division assistants.
    • Assign up to 4 assistants with approval from Executive Board.
    • Any additional duties assigned by the President.
    • Work as assigned by the President meeting a minimum of 2 hours each Saturday during home

    Cheer Commissioner – 2 Year Term

    1. To coordinate all matters with all cheer coaches, cheerleaders, and representatives and enforce all rulings required by the association.
    2. Maintain accurate record and minutes of all Coach meetings to be forwarded to the Secretary for record keeping.  Designate one Cheer assistant to fulfill this duty.
    3. To act as a go between in all matters between cheer coaches, cheerleaders, parents and the Board of Directors.
    4. If necessary to coordinate with all Commissioners any conflicts between cheerleader teams  and football coaches and their representatives.
    5. Present uniform proposals for Board approval with the final decision made prior to registration.
    6. Coordinate, with the Secretary, all Cheer Forms and Cheer Applications maintaining an accurate spreadsheet of necessary information.
    7. To perform such duties as the Board of Directors may prescribe.
    8. Vote in all Executive Board decisions as a unified vote with the division assistants.
    9. Assign up to 4 assistants (preferably one per division) with approval from Executive Board.
    10. Work as assigned by the President meeting a minimum of 2 hours each Saturday during home games.

    Field & Equipment Manager – 2 Year Term

    1. To maintain and operate all association equipment.
    2. Oversee the maintenance of the football fields and concession stand.
    3. Coordinate/Schedule volunteer field workers to assist during games and to clean the fields after each game on Saturdays.
    4. Maintain inventory of equipment.
    5. Present football equipment proposals for Board approval.
    6. Present uniform selection to Board for approval, and place and coordinate the order.
    7. Issue and coordinate return of coaches’ bags for Head Coaches.
    8. To perform such duties at the Board of Directors may prescribe.
    9. Vote in all Executive Board decisions as a unified vote with assistants.
    10. Assign up to 4 assistants (preferably one per division) as necessary with approval of Executive Board.
    11. Work as assigned by the President meeting a minimum of 2 hours each Saturday during home games.

    Publicist/Fundraiser – Midterm election to fill a vacancy

    1. Must be present at practices (or have someone assigned to work) during any and all MPWFA coordinated events.
    2. Organize and schedule pictures.
    3. Oversee all advertising and marketing activities.
    4. Maintain MPWFA website and social media.
    5. Oversee “info” email.
    6. Coordinate all team moms and team mom activity.
    7. Solicit donations and sponsorships.
    8. Assign 1 assistant with approval from Executive Board.
    9. To perform such duties as the Board of Directors may prescribe.
    10. Vote in all Executive Board decisions.
    11. Work as assigned by the President meeting a minimum of 2 hours each Saturday during home games.
